V. Putin: Not A Russian Threat
Well, now, don’t you know that Vladimir Putin popped up in the news cycle a couple of days ago to make clear that the fact that he has ordered Russian warplanes to patrol the Black Sea airspace with Kinzhal, hypersonic missiles capable of striking U$$A, Inc. aircraft carrier battle groups in the Mediterranean Sea is ”not a threat.”

Oh, heavens no!
On the contrary, far from being a threat, Putin’s announcement is simply a sober declaration of hard, military capability. As the U$$A, Inc. has been busily loading up the eastern Mediterranean in recent days with more naval firepower than you can shake a stick at, the Kremlin has likewise elected to deploy firepower of its own.
The Kinzhal comes screaming in at about 6,500 mph, with a range of at least 600 miles. This means that Russian pilots can stand off in the southern Black Sea, fire the Kinzhal, and five minutes later it can blow a mammoth hole right through an aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean.
This nonthreatening statement of cold, military fact by V. Putin caught my attention, because about 30 or 35 years ago I had a very vivid dream about just such a scenario that so impressed my mind that I have never forgotten it.
In my dream, I saw a U$$A, Inc. aircraft carrier dead in the water, and burning fiercely. It was somewhere in or near the Middle East, perhaps in the Persian Gulf or Arabian Sea, something like that. It had been holed at the water line, by an anti-ship missile that cut right through it like a giant cookie cutter. It was listing and taking on water.
I saw it from overhead, from the air, as if I were in a helicopter. And then suddenly I was down below decks with the crew, fighting the fire. They were in tinfoil suits with visors, manning the firehoses, trying to beat back the raging inferno that was devouring the ship. I could see the raw animal panic and fear in their faces. The ship was taking on more water than the pumps could handle, and they knew it. They also knew that the nuclear reactor that powered the ship was on the verge of melting down, as the ship’s systems failed.
Still they battled on, trying to beat back the fire in the passageways, trying to get to the nuclear reactor and keep it from going critical.
My dream of half a lifetime ago ended there, but as the Middle East of today teeters on the edge of a major war, and the U$$A, Inc. crams more and more naval assets into the region, the odds that one or more of those ships could be struck by anti-ship missiles are steadily rising.
The Russian anti-ship missiles are some of the best in the world, but other military forces in the area also have a lethal variety of anti-ship missiles: Libya, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Hezbollah, Lebanon.
We don’t know exactly what will occur in the coming days and weeks. But what we do know is that the Pentagon does not enjoy unchallenged military supremacy, neither on land or in the air, nor at sea.
Things have changed.
If major warfare does break out in the Middle East and adjacent seas in the coming days and weeks, the large naval force that the U$$A, Inc. has rushed to the region is very susceptible to violent attack and destruction.
