The government in Ecuador has just announced that for the coming workweek the electrical power will be cut off to the main industrial sectors of Quito for twenty-four hours a day.
Oof!
That’s an economic butcher knife right to the gut of the national GDP.
Yesterday in my neighborhood, the electrical power was supposed to be off for “only” six hours.
False. By my count the power was out for at least ten hours yesterday. My understanding is that it will be out for twelve hours today, and maybe more than that tomorrow.
There is not a short-term solution to Ecuador’s electrical power issues. There may be no long-term solution, either.
This might be the end for the modern “nation” of Ecuador. The present society/national government/economic order obviously cannot maintain/sustain itself for long without a reliable electrical grid.
The national hospital system is failing, businesses are failing, people are losing their jobs right and left, the society is deteriorating. The remedial measures of the various government agencies are weak, ineffective, poorly thought through and implemented, and poorly communicated to the public.
The tourist industry is in free fall. Agricultural and industrial production are in decline.
It’s not that I’m saying Ecuador has no future - - for all practical purposes it scarcely has a present!
From where I sit, what the economy of Ecuador has to fall back on are bananas, because that’s mostly what serves as cover for the extremely lucrative cocaine trade to Europe and the United States. The cops catch some of it:
But many tons slip through; they can’t inspect all of the millions of containers that are constantly coming and going through the ports of Latin America and Europe. It’s a numbers game for the narco-cartels, a cost of doing business. They ship 300 tons of merchandise, knowing that a certain number of tons will be confiscated, but the rest will make it through.
It’s a completely state controlled business; right down to knowing whom and how to bribe to ensure that the cargo gets through. Down on the docks people can get awfully upset when they don’t receive their seven figure cut of the action, and start doing crazy things, like opening and inspecting certain shipping containers that they otherwise might let pass without a second look.
The Bigger Picture
At a larger focus, I suspect that we are seeing the Technate of North America in operation, or alternatively, its late stage collapse and impending fire sale.

It is my hunch that important parts of the 20th century Technocracy movement’s ideas were incorporated into what we now call the Deep State. Geographically it was originally conceived to include the entire northeastern quadrant of the Pacific Ocean, the northern tier of South America and the Guyanas, the Caribbean Sea, all of Central America, Mexico, the Continental USA, Canada, Greenland, and the Western Atlantic all the way from Greenland to the Guyanas, including Bermuda.
I think something like this is in play today, but a little more expansive than conceptualized in the 1930s, in that it now also includes mainland Ecuador in the east, and extends farther to the western Pacific region, to include conquered World War II territories.
It explains Ronald Reagan’s 1980s Central American wars. It explains Ronald Reagan’s invasion of Grenada, and George Herbert Walker’s invasion of Panama. It explains the NAFTA treaty between Canada, Mexico and the U$$A, Inc. It explains the wide open Mexican−U$$A, Inc. border, where millions of (mostly) Mexicans and Central Americans come and go. It explains the massive cocaine trafficking out of Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador to the U$$A, Inc. and Europe.
For the Deep State, all of that massive geographic expanse in the Technate of North America map at the link above is their playground. In the Deep State’s view, that vast region’s population, raw resorces and lucrative products (cocaine/uranium/gold/petroleum/etc.) are theirs to do with as they see fit.
Steal, plunder, enslave, kidnap, exploit, slaughter, invade, destroy - - they do it all without remorse or compunction.
The decision has been made to take Ecuador down and reduce it to nothing. I assume the same is true of all the rest of the Technate of North America.
I think that this entire region of the world has fallen so deeply into arrears that it has passed by default into the hands and control of new owners.
Which begs the question, who or what is the Lender of Last Resort of this sector of the global power structure, as it comes crashing down?
If you read the international press, Ecuador, Haiti, Cuba and Venezuela are failed states, or very nearly so, with a long list of other bankrupt, corrupt and failing states that are on the verge of collapse in the region, not the least of which is the CONUS/U$$A, Inc.
So who is the bag man for all of this? Who or what is the Lender of Last Result?
I have to ask, because for the last year I have been seeing mystery motorcade after mystery motorcade here in Quito, of brand new, unmarked cars under police/military/paramilitary armed escort, with blue and red lights flashing, and sirens wailing. The cars almost always have no license plates, and usually have darkly tinted windows, both of which are violations of the transit laws of Ecuador. The cars never have any numbers, letters, words, slogans, symbols or designs on them. Their institutional affiliation, if any, is unknown.
I surmise that since Ecuador’s national debt is mathematically unpayable under any scenario, no matter how merrily fantastical, the decision was made to pull the plug.
The same is undoubtedly true of many so-called “countries” all across the Technate of North America, both large and small. The region is phenomenally rich in raw resources, and should never in 100,000 years have fallen into such an unresolvable impasse, were it not for widespread Satanic corruption in every aspect of modern society, economics, government, industry, agriculture, education, medicine, food production, telecommunications, mass entertainment, applied meteorology and military affairs.
Have unknown auditors therefore been sent in to assess the value of the resource base of the region, preparatory to introducing sweeping regime change, which could possibly involve a cultural and civilizational shock as abrupt and history changing as that of the arrival in large numbers of the European conquerors/slavers/colonizers of 415 to 530 years ago?
I am wondering, I really am. Something has changed; the many mystery motorcades of unmarked cars under armed escort zooming around Quito in recent months are a huge tell. And neither the news media nor the government are revealing the truth about them- - or about anything else.
