BRICS --- And Then Some

As expected, the BRICS (Brazil+Russia+India+China+South Africa) ended their annual meeting today by expanding their membership roster, and added six new members: Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Argentina, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.

This is no global, politico-economic trifle. The eleven BRICS countries account for 43% of global petroleum production, and are now a clear threat to the continued, global primacy of the U$$A, Inc. petrodollar’s reserve currency status.

There is no doubt that further, future expansion of the BRICS bloc will occur, creating still further strains in the global, politico-economic architecture.

In Latin America alone, there are something like seven more countries that now want to join: Mexico, Honduras, Cuba, Nicaragua, Uruguay, Bolivia and Venezuela. There are easily an additional twenty or thirty more in Africa and Asia.

Next year could easily see more BRICS expansion, perhaps something along these lines:

in Latin America - - Mexico, Honduras, Uruguay and Bolivia

in Asia - - Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Pakistan

in Africa - - Algeria, Gabon and Angola

…. with dozens more countries applying to join in the near future.

In brief, the BRICS have now commenced to shattering the post-WW II international order like a herd of rambunctious bulls in a fine porcelain shop.

Forget about the 200 year-old Monroe Doctrine, under which Uncle Sam ruled with an iron diplomatic, military, political and economic fist in the Latin American-Caribbean region. Those days are fading fast as the BRICS are making big inroads all across the Americas.

Fifty, sixty and seventy years ago, the hyper-violent U$$A, Inc. may have cut a brutal swath across much of Asia, but those bloody days are over. Rising powers and BRICS founding members, India and China, are directly challenging Uncle Sam’s regional reach, as well as paving the way for near-future BRICS accession of other Asian countries.

The same holds true in Africa and the Middle East.

The sober fact of the matter is that the U$$A, Inc. cannot prevent its quickening decline in power from occurring. The post-WW II era in which it imposed its will on scores of countries all over the world, principally via overwhelming economic and military power, is very quickly drawing to a close. Its military and economic dominance is rapidly being eclipsed.

The resounding Russian defeat of Pentagon and NATO weapons and mercenary forces on the battlefields of the Ukraine, in tandem with the imminent, economic ascendency of the BRICS, are heralds of profound world change.

The western powers, with their control centers in Washington-DC, London-England, Brussels-Belgium, Davos-Switzerland, Vatican-Rome and Paris-France, really have no choice at this point but to surrender militarily, diplomatically and economically, and to come to mutually agreeable terms with the rest of the planet, short of a shooting, nuclear, Third World War.

If the western powers are, however, unwilling to “play nice,” and insist on continuing their centuries-long policies of economic exploitation and military aggression, then expect highly kinetic military push back in the not so distant future. From this point on, world events could go sideways within mere hours or even minutes, in any given week, month or near-future year, without any prior warning whatsoever to any of us.
